In contrast to his master, Phillip is kind and courteous to everyone he meets.
As Dunan's tutor and caretaker for over 20 years, he has endured his master's selfish nature with great patience. Although often frustrated, he refrains from being too strict with his master, perhaps out of guilt, believing his own guidance was somehow inadequate.
